Oreo Mud Pie

Oreo Mud Pie
½ package of Oreos, about 23
¼ cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
1 jar prepared hot fudge
2 half gallons cookies and cream ice cream


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In the bowl of a food processor, pulse cookies until they are a fine crumb. Ad sugar to cookie crumbs and pulse to combine. Pour butter over crumbs and pulse to combine. Press crumb mixture evenly onto bottom of 9 inch spring form pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to press the crumbs tightly into the pan. Bake crust in oven for about 5 minutes until set. Let cool. Spread hot fudge over cooled cookie crust to create an even layer. Place pan in freezer to set the fudge. Let ice cream sit out on counter fo about 15 minutes to soften. Take crust out of freezer and mound ice cream into pan in large scoops. Continue pressing ice cream in to the pan until it is completely filled. It may mound up a little in the middle of the pan. Cover pie with saran wrap completely and place in freezer until solid, at least 2 hours. Take pie out of freezer about 15 minutes before serving. Run a knife, dipped in hot water and then dried, around sides of pan before releasing them. Cut pie into wedges, top with additional hot fudge if desired.
