Think outside the frame! How to do wood transfer photos for a rustic display

Wood transfer photos are a fun fall project!

We love to live among our photos and fill our homes with memories. Let’s take the photos out of the traditional frame and onto other mediums! It’s a creative way to display those special images.

Creative Editor Jill Broadbent took on the task of testing materials and techniques to help us master the craft of the photo transfer.

Jill tested three processes:

  1. Laser-printed photos on printer paper and Mod-Podge
  2. Ink-jet printed photos on printer paper and Matte Medium, sealed with a gloss spray
  3. Ink-jet photos printed on tattoo transfer paper
