Overnight Christmas Morning Quiche

Just toss this Christmas morning quiche in the oven and breakfast is served!

Wake up the family to a warm, homemade breakfast Christmas morning! You don’t have to get up early to get it going. Prep the night before, slide your meal into the oven, and breakfast is served once the presents are open!

Megan Faulkner Brown shares how to make an overnight French toast you can use leftover bread for. Her Christmas morning quiche is just as easy to whip up, and is packed with lots of flavor.

Christmas Morning Quiche

Generously grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
In the dish, add:

  • 4 1/2 cups croutons (2 – 5 ounce bags)
  • 1 pound sausage, cooked
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits (optional, but it’s bacon…so, yes)

Mix together:

  • 7 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard

Pour over the ingredients in casserole dish. Cover and put in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, preheat oven to 350° F.

Mix:

  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups (about 1 8-ounce package) fresh, sliced mushrooms, sautéed (if your
household doesn’t love mushrooms, it’s still delicious without them)

Spread evenly over the top of the ingredients in the casserole dish. Bake for 90 minutes or until the edges are golden and bubbling.
