Make flavored eggnog the star of your holiday! Here are 3 combinations to mix up

We can’t wait to try flavored eggnog.

You’ve got to indulge in a glass of eggnog during the holidays! This creamy, rich drink is a luxurious part of the Christmas season. One of our favorite foodies is taking it to the next level – she’s adding flavors!

Amy Richardson shares three delicious flavored eggnog concoctions. You don’t have to make the drink itself, just add in the goods to your favorite store-bought brand! Amy shares all the mix ins and sides to make it a full blown eggnog party.

Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Darigold Chocolate milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Eggnog, purchased
  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 3.5 oz Lindt 85% Dark Chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1/4 cup Torani Hazelnut syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp rum extract

Directions

In a small sauce pan heat 1 cup of evaporated milk. When hot, whisk in chocolate until smooth. Remove from heat and add hazelnut syrup. Whisk in rum and vanilla extract. Refrigerate to cool.

In a large bowl whisk together egg nog, whole milk, remaining evaporated milk, and peppermint milk mixture. Whisk until well mixed. Chill until ready to use.

Makes about 2 quarts.
