Pink, champagne, and a touch of shimmer! 5 Valentine’s outfits that feel elevated

Try one of these Valentine’s outfits this week!

It’s the season to embrace soft, romantic color combinations. The reds, pinks, and even creams aren’t always our go-to color choices when putting outfits together. But as we creep closer to Valentine’s Day, now is the time to wear the softer shades in fresh and flattering ways.

Studio 5 Style & Fashion Contributor Casey Matheny shared how to mix and match the perfect Valentine’s color combos to create new and stylish outfits.

Champagne & Pink Rose Gold

One standout combination is champagne and pink rose gold. This pairing is not just about pink and cream. “There is a shimmer to this, which just feels feminine and elevated,” Casey mentioned. This combo works well for warmer tones, but if you have cooler tones, Casey suggested looking for more silvers and soft muted pinks.

Vanilla Cream, Peach, and Mauve

This trio might not be the first colors that come to mind for Valentine’s Day, but they work beautifully together. “ It’s just this color combo that feels springy and also feels warm and valentine,” Casey noted.

“ You can do this in a number of ways with other colors too, outside of Valentine’s Day,” Casey said. Mix and match different colorways for a similar effect.

Espresso Brown, Bubblegum Pink, and Blue

If you love a vintage vibe, espresso brown, bubblegum pink, and blue is a perfect combo. Casey described it as having a “throwback vintage feel,” which is very much in vogue right now. This combination is versatile. “It just feels warm. It also feels ageless. Like, I feel like everyone could wear this combo,” Casey emphasized.

Monochrome Blush Pink

Monochrome outfits are always a hit, and for Valentine’s Day, blush pink is the way to go. This look layers different textures and subtle patterns in the same color family. “It works year-round, no matter the color, but we’re just going to do blush pink for Valentine’s Day,” Casey explained. The key to a monochrome look is in the layering and texture.

People often wonder what to do with the shoes in a monochromatic look. “ I would be thoughtful and try to keep the shoes monochromatic as well,” Casey said. “I wouldn’t throw a dark black in there or even a dark brown – stick to something more neutral.”

Classic Pink & White

Finally, the classic combination of pink and white never goes out of style. This look is perfect for everyday, especially for casual events like school parties. “It’s very collegiate almost. It just feels preppy and this is just an everyday look,” Casey described. This combo is easy to put together and always looks fresh and stylish.
