Cozy Pumpkin, Pear, and Amber Maple Soup

Pumpkin, Pear, and Amber Maple Soup with Fresh Sage, and Black Pepper Parmesan Croutons

Ingredients

Soup

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1  3/4 cups pear nectar
  • 1 16oz can pumpkin purée
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 3 tbsp Crown Amber Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1-2 fresh sage leaves, snipped
  • Fresh cracked pepper
  • Sea Salt

Directions

In a medium sized saucepan whisk together chicken broth, pear nectar, and pumpkin purée. Add maple syrup and ginger and heat over medium heat until just a simmer. Lower heat and whisk in half and half. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with Black Pepper Parmesan croutons.

Makes 4-6 servings

Croutons

  • Thinly sliced rustic bread
  • Shaved parmesan
  • Fresh cracked pepper
  • Sea salt

Directions

Heat oven to broil.

Places slices on baking sheet, cover with shaved parmesan. Top with fresh cracked pepper and sea salt and place under broiler until golden brown.
