Rocky Mountain Power Video Contest

Show how you’re being energy efficient. Capture it on video. Be creative. Be wattsmart. And you could win up to $10,000 in energy efficiency upgrades.

In an effort to help people think about being more energy efficient, or “wattsmart,” Rocky Mountain Power is holding the “Act Wattsmart Video Contest” for Utah residents.

One lucky videographer will win up to $10,000 in energy efficiency upgrades.

The video contest, which opened Monday, April 25, is designed to educate Utah citizens on ways to use less electricity and save money on their energy bills.

The contest is open to all residential Rocky Mountain Power customers in Utah who are 18 years of age or older.

To enter, participants must submit a video, 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length, of how they are being or how they can be more “wattsmart.”

Saving energy is extremely important for our state and this contest is an opportunity for individuals to actively discover and share the ways that they can make a difference

At Rocky Mountain Power we want to encourage Utah residents to take advantage of the many programs available to them. Many customers, making small changes together, can make a big difference in improving the way we use energy.

Rocky Mountain Power will select one grand prize winning video and two runners-up to receive energy efficiency upgrades from Lowe’s.

The grand prize winner will receive upgrades valued at $10,000

Additional prizes will be awarded to two runners-up, valued at $2,500 each

People’s choice winner valued at $2,000. The winning videos will be decided based on their ability to demonstrate maximum energy savings in a creative way.

By voting for their favorite video, Rocky Mountain Power customers can enter for a chance to win $500 in energy efficiency upgrades.

The contest runs from April 25 through June 30, 2011.
