Savory Stuffed Burgers

Becky Low suggests a homemade burger is
always better than a patty thrown on the grill
and with this recipe you’ll agree!
Blue Stuffed Burgers
1 ½ pounds lean ground beef

½ teaspoon garlic salt

¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Filling

2 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup crumbled blue cheese

1 tablespoon thin sliced green onion, optional
¼ crumbled cooked bacon

4 Burger Buns

Burger toppings of choice – lettuce, tomato, pickles,
ketchup, mustard, etc

Mix ground beef with garlic salt and pepper (or seasonings
of your choice). Divide beef into 8 equal portions. On wax
paper, or plastic wrap, use a fork to flatten and shape
each portion into thin 5-inch round patties.

Mix together cream cheese, blue cheese, onion and bacon.
Place filling in center of 4 patties; top each patty with
second beef patty. Using tines of fork, seal edges of
burger. Grill on hot grill 3-4 minutes, flip and grill
opposite side until internal temperature reaches 160
degrees (approximately 4-5 minutes longer). Serve with
condiments and toppings of your choice – enjoy!

Herb Grilled Corn
4 ears fresh corn

2-3 tablespoons Bacon Herb Butter

salt and pepper to taste

Peel corn husk back fro ear and remove silk; spread each
ear with Bacon Herb Butter; bring husks back over ear and
wrap each ear in foil (may remove husk entirely and wrap
corn in foil). Place corn on medium hot grill, cook,
turning occasionally for 15-20 minutes

Bacon Herb Butter:

Mix well 1-cup softened butter, 1-tablespoon minced
parsley, ¼-teaspoon black pepper, and ¼-cup finely chopped
cooked bacon (may add a little garlic powder or crushed
garlic if desired)
