Not seeing miracles? You might be in the middle of one. Here’s how to recognize them…

Here’s how to get better at seeing miracles in your life.

Life is full of little miracles, some big, some small. But how often do you actually notice them? We’re so caught in the hustle that we often overlook what’s unfolding right in front of us.

Author and speaker Connie Sokol believes the key to a purposeful life is learning to spot those moments, trace them back, and recognize how they all connect. Connie shared three steps to help you live in the miracles.

See the Miracle Now

“Life is just so busy and I think it can cloud our perspective,” Connie explained. She emphasized that even during challenging times, what we perceive as problems might actually be “unexpected miracles in the making.” By shifting our mindset and looking for these small wonders, we can transform our daily experiences into something extraordinary.

One of Connie’s key strategies for recognizing miracles is finding a sacred space and getting still. She recounted a recent experience where she visited multiple temples in a short span of time. “I got the divine download of what I didn’t see. This miracle in the making that I wasn’t open to,” she recalled. By taking the time to be still and ask meaningful questions, she was able to see new possibilities and recognize the miracles unfolding in her life.

Tracing the Mini Miracles

Connie believes that we often get stuck waiting for a big miracle and miss the smaller ones happening around us. She encouraged us to “trace the many miracles” in our lives. For her, this meant looking back at the series of events that led to her current project, an event at BYU called Born to Lead. “I can’t even tell you all the miracles that made that happen,” she said. By tracing these events, she was able to see how each step was part of a larger, divinely designed plan.

Make Miracles an Experience

Connie also highlighted the importance of sharing these experiences with others. She described a planning retreat where she and her team shared their stories of the many miracles that brought them together. “We tethered and wove it together and went, ‘what?’ That’s when it just gets even more depth and even more profound,” she said. Sharing these stories can create a sense of community and deepen our appreciation for the miracles in our lives.

Connie’s journey teaches us that miracles are all around us, waiting to be noticed. So, take a moment to pause, look around, and you might just find that you’re in the middle of a miracle right now.

Connie’s upcoming event, Born to Lead, aims to empower young adult women to speak with confidence and purpose. The event will feature inspiring speakers and provide valuable insights on how to be professional with personality and speak up with confidence.
