Shirley J: Pork Chili Verde

Try Shirley J’s new Slow Cooker Seasoning for Pork.


2c water
2T Shirley J Dutch Oven & Slow Cooker Seasoning for pork
1t cumin
2 6oz cans of diced Green Chilies
4# pork butt
1 jalapeno cut in half lengthwise (Optional)


In slow cooker, combine water, seasoning, cumin, and green chilies. Stir until
spices are dissolved. Add jalapeno and pork roast; cover and cook on high
setting for approx. 4 hours. Shred pork before serving.

Use as a filling for tacos, burritos or enchiladas. Serves well with corn tortillas,
rice, shredded lettuce, refried beans, tomatoes, sour cream, cheddar cheese
and avocados.
