Simple Scrapping: Preserving your Family Memories the Easy Way

1. Think Small-scale your scrapbook down to an 8X8 or 6X6 album. Working with a smaller space is faster and less overwhelming.

2. Tackle one theme or event at a time-Concentrate on finishing one vacation or one holiday. The thought of scrapbooking 10 years of pictures is often exhausting, but one event is manageable and gives you time to reminisce.

3. Use divided sheet protectors for ordinary photos- don’t feel the pressure of scrapbooking every single photograph that you take. Spend the most time on the most wonderful picture, and store the rest in divided sheet protectors. With this method, all pictures are still organized, protected and viewable.

4. Use patterns and kits- Don’t be afraid to copy the work of an artist. Easy patterns and layouts are available for your use. Often the thought process takes much longer than the assembly process, so take the thought out of it. Remember: the goal is to preserve your memories in the most effective way.

5. Duplicate as much as possible-Don’t feel bad about duplicating pages that can be used for more than one child. If all of your children went to the zoo, do the same layout for each child and just substitute the pictures.
