Laura Schaffer with Snowbird Resorts tells us what’s new this summer at Snowbird

Snowbird, Utah – The summer fun officially began at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort with the 11 a.m. opening of the Alpine Slide and ZipRider last June 9. These activities accompany the Bungy Trampoline, Aerial Tram, Mechanical Bull and Inflatable Kids Rides, all of which are already open for the summer.

“This is the most eventful summer in Snowbird’s history,” said Snowbird President Bob Bonar. “The existing and new activities combined with affordable lodging offers make Snowbird a great getaway that’s so close for so many Utahns.”

This summer, Snowbird’s All-Day Activities Pass will expand to include unlimited, daily use of the Peruvian Express Chairlift and Tunnel, Mechanical Bull and Inflatable Kids Rides in addition to the ZipRider, Alpine Slide, Bungy Trampoline and Aerial Tram. The unlimited pass for adults and children over 75 pounds is $32 daily; the unlimited pass for children under 75 pounds is $19 daily (prices change during Oktoberfest). The Peruvian Chairlift and Tunnel will be open from July 4 to Labor Day.

The Alpine Slide, ZipRider, Bungy Trampoline and Aerial Tram will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through the summer. All activities are weather conditions permitting.

Guests who didn’t experience Snowbird’s new Peruvian Express Chairlift and Tunnel this past winter season will now be able to do so this summer. Located at the top of the new Peruvian Express Chairlift, the tunnel will provide access to the wildflowers and hiking trails in Mineral Basin. The chair ride along with horseback and ATV tours in Mineral Basin will begin July 4.

Other summer activities include hiking, fishing, mountain scooters, mountain biking, a 12-story climbing wall, the Cliff Spa, patio dining, free weekend concerts, the Folk and Bluegrass festival (July 13-15), Rock and Blues festival (July 27-28) and Oktoberfest.
