Spooky Spider Apple Cider

It’s Halloween time! Gather up the kids, or your girlfriends, and take a trip out to Gardner Village to see all the spooky festivities.

Lucinda the Witch shares all the fun activities to expect, and how to make some yummy spiced cider.

Spider Apple Cider
8-10 Gala Apples
½ cup sugar
4 whole cinnamon sticks
4 tbsp. allspice

Cut up whole apples into quarters, place in stockpot. Fill with water to just cover the apples. Add sugar. Put cinnamon sticks and all spice in a piece of cheesecloth. Tie up to secure, add to the apples. Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 1 hour. Remove spice bag, mash apples, place in strainer and catch all the spider cider. Serve with a spider attached to the glass. Variations: Add Cranberry juice, stir with a Caramel Sucker, red hot cinnamon candy, or for a cider a la mode, add caramel syrup with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.
