Start planting your cut flower garden now!

Spring is slowly coming. We can feel it making its way. If you’ve considered growing a flower garden this year, it’s actually time to get started!

President of the Utah Flower Market and Owner of Maple Bloom Flower Farm, Julie Hall, shared the how, what, and when for growing cut flowers in our climate.

Why Grow Flowers

Julie said there is power in growing flowers. From building connection and community to helping people express love, gratitude, and emotions, flowers have beautiful benefits. She also said there is a therapeutic nature to working with flowers. There is a joy that comes from working in soil and soaking up Vitamin D. Sharing the flowers grown in your garden can also bring joy to you and the recipient.

Easy Beginner Flowers

Julie shared some easy flowers for beginners that only require adding seed to prepped soil.
