Stilton Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Bacon

Stilton Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Bacon
18 (1 inch by ¼ inch) pieces of Stilton cheese
18 pitted Medjool dates
18 whole almonds
6 slices bacon, cut into thirds
18 toothpicks

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Stuff one piece of cheese and one almond in each date. Wrap each date with one piece of bacon and secure with toothpick if desired. Arrange dates bacon seam down and 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
3. Bake 5 minutes. Turn dates over with tongs and bake until bacon is crispy (5-6 more minutes). Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.

Serves 9 people, 2 dates per person.
