Stir-Fry

Stir-Fly
1Tbs. Olive oil or spicy chili oil
1 cup broccoli cut into bite sized pieces
1 large carrot julienne sliced
1 Tbs. “stir fry” ginger & garlic
½ onion thinly sliced
3 inch cut from green onion bunch
1 cup sliced mushrooms
½ lb desired meat (sliced chicken breast, or top sirloin)
3/4 cup Teriyaki sauce, orange glaze sauce, or peanut sauce.

Heat oil in wok on medium-high heat. Add dense vegetables first (broccoli, and carrots) and ginger/garlic seasoning to hot oil – Cook for 4 minutes – stirring often. Add the rest of the vegetables, and cook another 3 minutes – stirring often. Push vegetables to the outside edges of the wok, and put meat in the center of the pan- The high heat will sear the meat quickly, then turn meat over so that both sides have been seared. Cook 1 more minute, then stir meat and vegetables together. Add 1 Tablespoon soy sauce and stir, if you want mainly meat & vegetable flavor. Otherwise, add ¾ cup of your favorite teriyaki, or other stir fry sauce. Your stir fry will take on a whole different flavor depending on what sauce you add at the end. ( My favorite, of course, is SEAL SAMA brand teriyaki sauce) Toss until sauce is mixed in with meat and vegetables – serve on top of steamed rice.

Makes 2 generous stir fry bowls.
