Strawberry Shortcake

1 cup eggs
1/4 cup egg yolks
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup cake flour
1/4 cup orange juice

Place the sugar, whole eggs and extra egg yolks in a mixing bowl and beat at high speed until fluffy. Fold in the flour and orange juice. Bake in a greased shallow pan at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting.
2 cups of fresh strawberries, washed, cleaned and sliced

Mix together in a blender:
1 cup fresh strawberries
1/3 cup cherry juice (grenadine)

Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/8 cup powdered sugar

Whip the cream on high speed. Add the sugar and whip an additional 5-10 seconds.

To assemble:

Place a slice of shortcake on each serving plate, add the strawberries and the sauce and finish with a dollop of whipping cream.
