Tart cranberries, sweet Clementine slices and juicy pomegranate dipped in chocolate!
Blogger Ali Eisenach shares an unconventional take on chocolate dipped treats.
Winter Fruit Dipped in Chocolate
People often think “strawberries” when it comes to dipping chocolate, but these winter varieties of fruit will soon be your favorite!
Try fresh cranberries, Clementine orange slices, and pomegranates.
Wash and dry cranberries before dipping. Remove pomegranate seeds by cutting pomegranate in half and submerging in a bowl of cold water. Under the water carefully pop out seeds, rinse and dry completely. Peel and clean Clementines into sections. Set aside.
Melting chocolate: Place desired amount of chocolate chips (I prefer Guittard milk chocolate chips) in a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
Dip orange slices in chocolate and place on waxed paper.
Drop cranberries in chocolate until completely covered and then fish them out with a spoon. Set on waxed paper.
Scoop one heaping tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into chocolate and scoop back out with a spoon. Place cluster on waxed paper until cool.
Keep fruit chilled in the fridge until ready to serve. Enjoy!
