Summer Fun at Provo Beach Resort

Provo Beach Resort offers eight lanes of bowling, a ropes course, four golf simulators, miniature croquet, a huge play area, a large stage featuring live music and comedy acts, a pinewood derby, an indoor Flowrider and much more. There really is something for everyone at Provo Beach Resort, and you can feel confident that you can take the entire family and know that everyone will have a fantastic time because there is so much to do there!

Provo Beach Resort is even holding its first ever Flow Tour USA Competition on Saturday, July 23 on its indoor Flowrider. The Flowrider is an incredible machine that can give you the full experience of surfing and bodyboarding right here in Utah. It is a ride that generates a thin sheet of water which flows over a stationary wave form. Pumps located in the pool below inject a 3 inch sheet of water over the engineered ride surface creating a surfable wave. The resulting wave-like shape permits riders to slide down, carve a turn and ride up the wave surface, emulating the maneuvers of other board sports.

There is a $35 registration fee to enter the competition. This fee includes entry into the event, a T-shirt and special discounts so that you can come in and practice before the actual competition. Registration and practice times are on Friday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Saturday, July 23 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The actual competition will begin on July 23 at 10:30 a.m. There will be separate surfing and bodyboarding competitions. Both competitions will be broken down into junior, male, female and expert divisions. A total of $2,500 will be awarded in cash prizes in the expert divisions.
