The Heber Valley features a number of mountain recreation activities and is only 45 minutes or less from the Wasatch Front. In addition, there are great lodging and resort destinations for you combine with any summer activity and make it a great weekend getaway.

o Mountain Golf: Between Wasatch Mountain State Park Mountain and Lake Courses; Soldier Hollow’s Gold and Silver courses and the Homestead … there are 90 holes of golf minutes from each other. Spend a weekend golfing some of the favorite public courses in the state in cooler temperatures.
o Water Sports and Activities: The Heber Valley is home to three reservoirs (Jordanelle, Deer Creek and Strawberry) and has Blue Ribbon fly fishing on the Provo River. From boating, wave running and trophy fishing there’s plenty of fun family activities on the water and rentals and outfitters to take you out fishing to guarantee you a catch.
o Relax and Getaway: With full service resorts and spas at St. Regis, Zermatt, Homestead and Daniels Summit Lodge to B&Bs such as the Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant, Johnson Mill and Invited Inn. Just getaway and relax.
o Horseback Riding: There are great places for horseback riding either on the back side of the Wasatch Mountains or in the Uintah National Forest. Two outfitters can take you out on expeditions: Daniels Summit Lodge and Rocky Mountain Outfitters. Also, the Heber Valley Railroad offer’s Reins N’ Trains where cowboys stop the train and take you out for a horseback expedition ride at Soldier Hollow.
o ATV Riding: In the winter we have thousands of miles of snowmobile trails through the Wasatch Mountains and Uinta National Forest. When the snow melts these trails are great for ATV riding. Two places do tours and rentals: Lofty Peaks and Daniel Summit Lodge does Polaris Razor rentals

o This weekend there is the Smoke On The River Utah BBQ Championship at Rivers Edge Campground and Resort
o The Pow Wow at Soldier Hollow June 17-19
o The Mountain Valley Stampede August 5-6. This is one of the best PRCA Rodeos you can attend. It’s in the new outdoor Wasatch County Rodeo Arena and has one of the best fireworks shows right after.
