We love setting out the cozy decor!
We often talk about a spring refresh to our spaces, but fall is a perfect time to also warm things up and add some coziness to our space. It doesn’t take an overhaul – just a few smart swaps will make your home feel inviting and warm.
Whitney Reynolds, from Hue & Hem, shares a few ways to nestle cozy decor into the three rooms we use the most.
Kitchen
- New kitchen towels: Pick warm, earthy colors. Stripes or plaid work great!
- Show off a cookbook: Display your favorite on a stand. Add a candle or jar for extra flair.
- Rearrange open shelves: Move things around. Put out serving bowls and trays – they look nice, and you’ll use them!
Living Room
- Pillow power: Choose warm colors and mix textures (velvet, furry fabrics). Combine solid colors with some patterns.
- Cozy throws: Drape a soft blanket over your sofa arm or keep in a pretty basket.
- Swap artwork: Try a dramatic landscape picture for fall vibes.
Bedroom
- Layer up: Add textured pillows and throws in rich, warm colors.
- Light some candles: Place fall-scented candles around for instant coziness.
- New rug (if you’re feeling fancy): A textured rug can really change the room’s feel.
You don’t need to be an expert! These small changes can make a big difference in creating a cozy fall atmosphere in your home.
