“Quiet Inspirations” focuses on providing the highest quality violin and piano religious arrangements, where each piece is infused with both technical excellence and musicality while keeping intact the intent of the original hymns.

About Benjamin & Jonathan Chan:

Benjamin Chan began playing the violin at age 5 ½ and has studied with several prominent teachers, including Barbara Lapidus, Marianne Pashler, Igor Gruppman, and Monte Belknap. He performed three solos with the Brigham Young University Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kory Katseanes. He has traveled Europe 5 times, twice as concertmaster and once to participate in the 2005 Tibor Varga International Solo Competition. He won 1st place in the 2006 MTNA National Young Artist Solo Competition in the violin division. He has performed in master classes for Midori Goto and Joseph Silverstein, and he plays on a violin made in 1761 by Niccolo Gagliano.

Jonathan Chan is an entrepreneur with an enduring love of music. He is an accomplished pianist who studied for the majority of his life with Marilyn Taggert. He has won two piano concerto competitions, and has soloed with four orchestras, once performing his own composition. He is an avid composer, having done movie soundtracks for several short films, including the 5-time award-winning “Of Genies and Goldfish” and the upcoming film noir musical “A Song Before You Die”.
