The Latest Tile Trends

Tile is a beautiful way to add style and personality to your home. But how do you know what trend fits your personal taste?

Katie Christian with Contempo Tile shares the hottest tile trends for your home.

From faux hardwood to multicolored glass and every interesting material, color, and shape in between, these fall tile trends add personality and a distinctive design to any room in your home.

Tiled floors and accent walls are beautiful and easy to maintain. In high traffic areas, such as the kitchen, tile offers a durable solution to the scuffs and spills of everyday life. Though, there is one sure-fire trick to lasting floors – proper installation. Finding unique tiles and design that match your style is the first step to changing the look and feel of a space.

Wood Grain Tiles (faux hardwood porcelain)

Hardwood floors create a warm, natural appearance, but are not always suitable for certain rooms in the home. For instance, the moisture from a bathroom shower or tub can wreak havoc on hardwood flooring. Wood grain tiles are moisture-resistant, durable, and much more budget-friendly than installing and refurbishing hardwood.

Arts and Crafts Glass Tiles

If you are interested in a variety of colors, shapes and installation options, glass tiles may be perfect for you. Because glass tiles are durable, they can be used for both interior and exterior applications. Another appealing feature is the ability to incorporate glass tiles into designs using other mediums, such as stone or ceramic. They can become a beautiful accent to any design.

Arabesque Tile

What if you want to break out of the mold and make a statement with your tile designs? Try arabesque tiles! These tiles are a high-gloss, sophisticated, and unique addition to the home. With a timeless design, arabesque tiles fit easily into classic and contemporary bathrooms and kitchens.
