    Adapted from Joy the Baker

    Makes 24 cookies

    Ingredients
4 oz (half block) full fat cream cheese, room temp
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temp
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    1 large egg
    1 ½ cups flour
    ½ cup dry milk powder
    ¾ teaspoon baking soda
    ½ teaspoon baking powder
    ½ teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped oreo cookies (mix of coarse and fine, about 20 cookies)

    Instructions
-In a bowl of stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat together cream cheese and butter until light and creamy. Add brown sugar and beat on medium for 3 minutes until pale and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and stir just until combined.
-In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, milk powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
-Using a rubber spatula, fold in the oreos.
-Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 325ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-Use a 2T cookie scoop to place 12 balls of dough on the baking sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes. The center should be set, but don’t wait for browned edges if you want the ultimate, soft cookie. Cool cookies on baking sheet and once cooled, immediately put in an air-tight container.
