Would you ever think to look in the office section for the best craft supply ever?
We’re all searching the shelves for summer activities at home. So our creative contributor, Sam Spendlove, recently shared five summer camp crafts, and made a bold claim. Office stickers are the best craft supply mom can invest in! You know those round, colorful stickers you get at Staples? You probably already have some tucked away in your cupboard, but just in case, here’s where you can pick some up.
Pack of 1260 1-inch Round Color Coding Labels, $8.98
There are endless crafting possibilities that use a page or two of these stickers. Here are some of Sam’s ideas…
Color Matching
Sam says she draws small, corresponding colored dots on a piece of paper. Then the kids use the stickers and match them to the dots! This is an awesome activity for kids working on their colors, or even the kids who already know them!
Cone Counting
Put some triangles stickers, on a piece of paper, or draw them, and label them 1-10. The kids have to put “scoops of ice cream” on the “cones” matching the numbers. Learning plus crafting equals a productive summer day!
Letter Balloons
This project requires a little bit of crafting of your own! All you really have to do is draw some balloons and put some capital letters inside of each. Then, write the corresponding lowercase letters on the stickers. The kids match the lowercase with the uppercase. We love a good craft that doubles as education.
