Make these trendy patches with puff paint! Here’s the easy tutorial…

You can use these trendy patches in all kinds of applications.

It’s a trend we are seeing take over! From teen totes to high end women’s apparel, chenille patches are having a moment, and we can see why! The bold fonts and bright colors  – and, of course, our mind always goes to… can that be done DIY?

Inspired by our friends, the Pretty Life Girls, Emily Price tried her hand at a DIY approach for these trendy patches by painting block letters with puff paint!

The DIY approach is an inexpensive and fun way to create the look for less. Get a group of teens (or moms!) together to create. Share the paints and a few bottles will go a long way. It’s also fully customizable as you choose the words and the colors.

You’ll need a stencil, paint, brushes, and any blank material you want to personalize. Add the puff paint and heat to make the paint rise a bit and you have the look of a chenille patch you created yourself.
