Warm, golden, biscuits fresh out of the oven can be paired with any hearty winter meal.



Chef Rex Davidsavor from the culinary school at the Utah College of Applied Technology shares tips to make perfect buttermilk biscuits.



1. Preheat oven


2. add flour salt sugar baking powder baking soda in mixing bowl


3. add chilled butter and cut into size of peas


4. add flavor and toss


5. pour in egg and buttermilk into mixture and gently stir (careful not to over mix)


6. chill 1 hour or up to 2 days


7. On a lightly flour surface roll out to desired thickness brush the top with butter and light dusting of sugar


8. Bake for about 20 minutes
