It’s that time of year again… love is in the air and it’s making you feel positively animal! Why not spend quality Valentine’s Day time this February at Utah’s Hogle Zoo? There are plenty of fun-loving activities for both couples and families alike.
For the hopelessly smitten…
If you’ve never seen a passionate porcupine or an amorous armadillo, it’s time to learn how animals find their mates. Adults 21 and over can ditch the fattening chocolates, wilting flowers and Barry White CDs for a session of Mating Dances and Wild Romances February 8, 9, 15 and 16 from 6 to 9 pm.
Join Hogle Zoo’s Education Department as they provide a look into the private lives and courtship behaviors of animals from around the world. It’s an evening of fun as couples dine on a delectable dinner prepared by Hogle Zoo’s own executive chef and learn how animals play the mating game. Reserve your spot today-this event is a sell-out every single year. Cost is $60 for non-member couples ($50 for member couples).
For the family-focused…
Have you had so much romance in your life that you’ve now got a family?
Bring them to Hogle Zoo’s EdZOOcation Station to take part in My Fuzzy Valentine Saturday February 9th from 10 am to 1 pm. With valentines to make, envelopes too, an hour of fun is waiting for you! Folks can make and take animal valentine cards and meet new furry valentine friends up-close. This event is only five dollars per person (non-members must still pay regular Zoo admission price) for all Zoo guests, and is something fun for all ages.
Finally, who says your family has to stop loving each other once Valentine’s Day ends? Wrap up this wondrous weekend with Sweet Talk: A Valentine’s Breakfast for the Whole Family Saturday February 16 from 7:45 to 9 am at Hogle Zoo. This is a great event for kids of all ages to learn about flirting in the animal world through fun games and activities. Throw in a scrumptious continental breakfast and valentine craft, and you’ve got chemistry for family fun! Cost is $15 for non-member adults ($12 for
members) and kids 12 and under are $8 ($13 for non-members). Reserve your spot now!
