Zero Fatalities: Buckling Up

— young people (16-24) have the lowest observed set belt usage than any other age group.


— last yea in Utah 40 fatal crashes involved teenagers.


— one of the deadliest causes in a vehicle crash is being ejected from the vehicle.


— in Utah, in 2005, 82% of crash occupants who were totally ejected from their vehicles were unbuckled.


— nealry 250,000 Utah motorists still fail to regularly wear their seat belts driving or riding a motor vehicle.

— the best way to survivie a crash is to prevent it from happening in the first place


— summer vacations and graduation are critical for children: kids should be enjoying life not dealing with the loss of friends because of silly mistakes
