2012 Utah International Auto Expo

Excitement is mounting for the 2012 Utah International Auto Expo. Set to roll
into South Towne Exposition Center Friday January 13 – 16, this huge array
of
automobiles, exhibits and displays is certain to delight attendees.

Craig Bickmore, with the New Car Dealers of Utah runs down some of the
highlights of the show.

“The Utah International Auto Expo is the largest new car display in the
intermountain area,” said Craig Bickmore, executive director of New Car
Dealers of Utah, the association that owns the expo. “In addition to having a
lot of fun, our goal is to educate the public about the exciting new vehicles
coming to the market to meet their automobile needs. The best way to do
that is with a one-stop approach at the expo.”

The Ford Drive One Experience and Chevrolet, Buick, GMC – Experience the
Drive will be on site for attendees who want to take the experience up a
notch and slip behind the wheel for a test drive.

For those who want to take a ride but stay indoors, the expo offers the much
anticipated Camp Jeep®, with its interactive Jeep test track that takes riders
on a high-adventure course demonstrating the off-road capabilities of the
vehicle. In addition, Jeep is setting up Jeep Kids Course with kid-sized Jeeps
for the younger set, as well as a 25-foot climbing wall to entertain children
while they wait in line.

“Camp Jeep brings a whole new level of excitement to this year’s Auto Expo,”
Bickmore said.

A thrilling showcase of high-end exotics from Ferrari and Maserati will be on
display courtesy of Steve Harris Imports. The impressive list features the
SAAPERTA, an exclusive Ferrari V12, one of 80 to be built to celebrate
Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary. The list goes on with the 458 Italia and the
much anticipated Ferrari FF (MSRP $419,000) as well as the Maserati Gran
Turismo MC, and Maserati Quattroporte.

Other notable attractions include a Fisker display courtesy of Fisker of Salt
Lake City and a vintage Chevrolet Corvette Collection presented by the
Corvette Club of Utah.

In addition to the line-up of 2012 vehicles, the expo brings a sneak peek of
pre-production 2013 models to preview, including Ford Escape, Ford Taurus,
Ford Focus BEV (electric), Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Malibu.

On Kids Day, Sunday January 15, Ronald McDonald will offer free magic
shows at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Children 12 and under are admitted free on
Kids Day as well as on Family Day, Monday January 16, which falls on Martin
Luther King, Jr. Day.

“There are exhibits and activities designed for the children,” Bickmore added,
“Which makes the expo a fun holiday outing for the entire family.”

The Sony Digital Link Sound System (DSP) Demonstration allows attendees to
experience the difference in sound quality of a premium audio option at a
more affordable price. The system is designed to digitally enhance the
factory-installed stereo system.
