Halloween candy makes the perfect seasonal photo prop!
We are always sure to snap photos of our kids in their Halloween costumes. Here’s another photo idea that’s unique and fun – get creative with their candy haul! Take a frame-worthy photo that captures the pure joy of a childhood Halloween.
Rebecca Franson says is easy to achieve this brilliant shot, and teaches us everything from the logistics to the edits.
This photo is a fun way to show a child’s expression as well as documenting the trick-or-treating spoils. The candy becomes your prop as you nestle the child inside the pile and shoot from above.
Set a pillow on the ground and then wrap a blanket around your child’s head. Layer up all the candy around their face and fill in all the space. Stand above to snap a photo from a top-down angle.
Use the candies as props to dress up their faces or eat their favorite candy in the shot.
