All Wrapped Up: New Ways to Use Wrapping Paper

A unique idea to wrap Christmas gifts is to use a paint can. You take wrapping paper to cover the paint can and lid. Once this is done add decorative ribbon to tie on the handle. Paint cans, can be purchased at local craft stores or paint stores.

If you need to wrap a large package you can use two different wrapping papers and just wrap each paper on opposite sides of the package.

Cellophane is a great way to wrap items to give them a finishing touch. Items such as gift baskets, bottled drinks, or jars filled with goodies etc… Cellophane bags are great as well. Fill the bag with the gift and then use wrapping paper to fold and staple to the top of the bag.

If you have several gifts going to the same person, it is fun to wrap with 3 different coordinating papers and then stacking the gifts and tying them together with a bow.

If you are giving baked gifts, you can wrap a shirt box with wrapping paper and then fill it with the yummy treats.

A great embellishment for a gift is to use an ornament that matches the wrapping paper. You can also make gift tags to match by cutting out pieces of the gift wrap.
In a pinch you can use brown paper bags or the funnies to wrap a gift in. To make it personalized you can stamp the paper sack.

Lunch sacks make a perfect quick gift bag. If you want to dress it up, fold the top of the bag over-take a hole punch and punch two holes in the top of the bag. To finish it off, thread ribbon thru the holes and tie.
Giving gift cards this year but you don’t want to pay extra for the fancy card holder? No problem, just make a cute envelope out of gift wrap.

To wrap a tube shaped gift, take tissue paper to roll over it tying both ends. To finish it off, wrap gift wrap to cover the middle of the gift.

Jars also make fun containers for gifts. Cover the lid with gift wrap to give it a creative touch.

If you are giving candy as a gift or favor, make cones out of wrapping paper and fill and hang them on a Christmas tree. These make darling decorations as well as favors.
