Best Ever Apple Pudding

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
1 egg beaten hard
2 large un-peeled apples, shredded
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup flour

Gradually add sugar to butter creaming well. Add egg beaten hard. Shred
apples medium fine. Add at once to creamed mixture.

Stir in dry ingredients. Add walnuts.

Spray or grease an 8″ or 9″ pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

Cut in squares. Serve hot with Best Ever Pudding Sauce or whipped cream (or both)
Best Ever Pudding Sauce
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light cream
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
dash nutmeg

occasionally until blended. Don’t let sauce boil.

Add vanilla and nutmeg. Serve on pudding cake or plain cake.
