There is something about sports that can bring out the worst in people. Even at your own child’s game or match, have you ever found yourself getting worked up? Don’t let the anger and frustration build up to an outburst. Make some behavior changes to make sure you stay the encouraging sideline parent for your kids.
Dr. Tom Golightly shares some things change at home and in the stands. He says to strive for being moderately involved. Don’t be totally checked out, but you don’t want to be overly involved either. Look for the middle ground in kids’ sporting situations.
