2 lbs. lean ground chuck
5 links breakfast sausage (broken up)
2 yellow onions (grated)
2 cups rice, cooked
3-4 celery stalks (diced & boiled)
1 cup pinenuts
3/4 cup walnuts (coarsely chopped)
1 cup chestnuts (boiled or roasted & coarsely chopped)
1 cup white raisins and/or currents
1 glass wine(dry red or white)
nutmeg to taste
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Melt butter, add oil and brown meats, then simmer w/ onion (about 10 more minutes). Add remaining ingredients & season to taste. Simmer 10 additional minutes.
You may either stuff your turkey or serve as side dish.
