Professional organizer Jenny Layton calls mid-August through October a woman’s power season. Whether you’ve been wanting to tackle a new house project or start maybe on your own health journey right now, she says now is the perfect opportunity to set goals that took a backseat during the summer break and be more productive.

Jenny explained that the “power season” is a period where women can focus on personal goals. It’s different from the family seasons, where attention is on family needs. It’s a personal season, which is about individual growth and projects. Recognizing this distinction can help you allocate your time effectively and guilt-free.

The first step in making the most of your power season is clarity. Reflect on what personal goals have been sidelined and why they matter. This clarity sets the foundation for a focused and productive period.
