Clark Planetarium: “The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest”

Climber, Conrad Anker comes to Studio 5 to talk about National Geographic’s latest film.


The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest, follows the tragic story of George Mallory, who was consumed with summiting Mount Everest, only to be consumed by the mountain itself.

Last seen 800 feet below the summit in 1924, Mallory vanished and news of his death stunned the world.

In 1999, University of Utah graduate, and renowned climber Conrad Anker, found Mallory’s body with all his belongings intact. Haunted by Mallory’s story, Conrad decided to return to Everest to unravel the mysteries surrounding his disappearance, and his journey is documented in the film.
