Comcast Gives More with the World of More

Ray Child with Comcast is here to tell us the benefits of “The World of More,” and how you can get it.

Earlier this year, Comcast announced implementation of the World of More, an initiative that is bringing thousands of new digital and HD program options. If you are a Comcast Standard Cable customer you can benefit from the World of More for no change in your monthly bill. Comcast is doing this by transitioning several analog channels to digital channels, freeing up bandwidth to accommodate the addition of a wealth of new program options. The World of More is being implemented in waves (or areas) across the Wasatch Front and customers in XX cities are already getting a world of additional program options. World of More will be completed this fall. Here are some commonly asked questions about the World of More:

Who benefits from the World of More, and do I have to pay more to get it?

If you are a Comcast Standard Cable customer, you simply need to order digital boxes to connect to the TVs in your home. You can get up to three free digital boxes and there is no change in your monthly bill. Standard Cable customers who transition to the World of More will get access to thousands of new program options on Comcast On Demand including movies, kids programs and TV series, all available to them when they chose any time of the day, any day of the week with pause, fast forward and reverse capability. On Demand gives you the ability to control your viewing experience. Digital Starter customers can also receive up to two free digital adapters depending on how many TVs they already have connected to digital boxes.

What do I need to do to get the World of More?

It’s easy. Standard Cable Customers just need to order up to three free, easy to install digital boxes (in the form of a digital set-top box and two digital adapters) to connect to the World of More. Any additional digital adapters that may be needed are just $1.99 per month. Boxes can be ordered by calling 1-800-COMCAST, online at digitalnow.comcast.com, or by picking them up at a Comcast Customer Service Center.
