Cream Filled Breakfast Biscuits

3 cups biscuit mix
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons grated orange peel (finely grated)
3/4 cup orange juice
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup orange marmalade
coarse granulated sugar, optional

Combine biscuit mix with sugar and orange peel. Stir in orange juice. Mix thoroughly. Place on a lightly floured surface (may use additional biscuit mix) and knead10 times. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into biscuits. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet. Using the center of a doughnut cutter or similar smaller circle, partially cut center out of biscuit. Remove dough making a dish in each biscuit. Mix together cream cheese and marmalade. Place one tablespoon marmalade-cream cheese mixture in center of each biscuit. Sprinkle with additional sugar, if deswired. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
