Craft kits are a great way to spend time creating this summer.
If craft time and creative projects are on your summer bucket list, consider a kit! It’s an easy and inexpensive way to try something new without investing in all the supplies needed to simply dabble in an artform.
We’ve rounded up a collection of craft kits that provide everything you need to bust the boredom of long summer days and make something fun in the process. The line is called Mondo Llama, and is available at Target.
Studio 5 Creative Editor Jill Broadbent tried a few of their kits and gave the breakdown of the collection.
Moss Art Craft Kit
Super easy and really fast, which made us not enjoy it as much. All you do with this kit is glue the moss into the tray, so if you like the look of the final product, it is worth it, but if you’re wanting an experience, it doesn’t provide much of one.
Punch Needling Canvas Kit
This kit was really fun to create a lasting piece of art. The skill level is best for older kids, but the process is easy and the finished product is impressive. Plan on about three hours from start to finish.
Bath Bomb Kit
This kit is perfect for the creative experience, and it makes four bath bombs with just enough supplies to create them. Good value and fun process for any age.
Clay Trinket Dish Kit
This one provides a good amount of clay. It is tricky to make it look polished, but if kids are creating, they will have fun with the process.
Geode Canvas Painting Kit
The best value and best user experience of all the kits tested. This kit gives you enough supplies to make two full canvas paintings and the process is really fun. Great for all ages and the finished product is really pretty.
