Wallpaper isn’t just for walls! People use it on the ceiling, doors, cupboards, even the stairs for an extra pop of color in the home.
Studio 5 Contributor Liberti van Gass shares her favorite ways to recycle old items with wallpaper!
Cuff bracelets: So fun to add wallpaper to plain cuff bracelets, perfect to dress up any outfit!
Wedge Shoes: I used wallpaper to cover the wedge part of the shoe, then dressed up the top to tie it in, created such a different look with the fun print
Large barrel: I picked up the awesome barrel at DI and love how it turned out covered in wallpaper – this could be used as a hamper, toy box or to hold decorative twigs
Placemats: Cheap dollar-store mats covered with two different wallpapers create fun reversible placemats; I used vinyl wallpaper on these so that the surface is wipeable
Flower pots: These cheap plastic flowerpots were transformed with a little spray paint and decorative wallpaper. Finishing with a clear coat gives it protection from the elements!
Luggage Tags: You’re sure to track down your suitcase with these fun tags! I once again used a vinyl wallpaper for flexibility & finished them off with a clear contact paper to keep them durable.
