One of the greatest things about the harvest season is bringing the outdoors in!
A Campus Craft & Floral favorite for fall is our pumpkin shaped floral centerpiece. These wonderful show-stopping arrangements can be made to any size and with flowers from your garden or local floral shop. You can even use the same principles to create a permanent fall decoration by using silk flowers and Styrofoam.
Material List:
-Small plate or shallow plant saucer.
-Oasis floral foam or Styrofoam (if working with silk or permanent materials)
-A knife to shape oasis.
-Enough fresh or silk flowers to cover. Chrysanthemums, carnations, dahlias, marigolds, or zinnias work wonderfully.
-The end of a stick (for the pumpkin stem).
-Fresh or silk leaves.
Instructions (for a 8-10″ pumpkin):
-Place wet or dry floral foam on your base. Shape the foam by rounding the corners to your desired size. Pre-formed balls (5-6″) are available in a variety of sizes—a time-saving tip.
-Begin setting your size and shape by placing flowers at several
strategic points on the sphere.
-Cover the foam completely with flowers.
