Gastronomy’s Fruit Tarts


Filling:
1 four ounce package of vanilla pudding
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
Ready made pie shell
Fruit, in season, of your choice:
Any of following–
Fresh berry
Star fruit
Sliced peaches
Sliced pears
Sliced nectarines
Glaze:
1/4 cup apple or peach jelly
1/4 cup hot water


In a mixing bowl, mix the cream with the water and pudding mix on low speed
for 3 to 5 minutes.

Add almond flavoring. Pour into pie shells and top with sliced fruits or
whole berries in season.

By hand, mix apple or peach jelly with the hot water to make a glaze.
Spread over top of the pies, with a pastry brush. Chill one hour, before
serving.
