We roast nuts the old-fashioned way, one batch at a time to ensure gourmet
roasting to perfection. If it does not meet our standards, it does not go on to
our shelves. Try our Paul’s World Famous Brittle candy, an exclusive product
of the Western Nut Company, made from master candy maker Paul Cushing’s
1961 closely held secret of special blended fresh quality ingredients. And
sample our Fudge. Made from a recipe that for over 40 years has been
recognized as best in the industry due to its exceptional taste, texture and
variety.

SHELF LIFE OF NUT PRODUCTS

Oil Roasted Products

-Eight to ten weeks at room temperature

-Add 2 to 4 weeks by keeping the product cold and in an airtight container

-Freezing is an option: raw products will have a truer flavor than products
that have been roasted, frozen, then thawed

-Heat rapidly decreases the life of a roasted nut
Raw Product

-Most raw product will last up to a year in a sealed container and chilled

-Freezing is an option

Dry Roasted Product

-Typically last six months or longer

NUTS TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT!

-According to the U.S. FDA, “Scientific evidence suggests… that eating 1.5
ounces per day of most nuts, such as peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans,
pistachio nuts and/or walnuts, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and
cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.”
