Holiday Gift Box

The Utah Association for Intellectual Disabilities (UAID) annual Holiday Gift Box program provides gifts to individuals with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This program is a year long project resulting in holiday gifts for individuals with intellectual disabilities & low income. It brings joy to many who are otherwise overlooked during the holidays.

A man with an intellectual disability may be physically 64 years of age, with an intellectual age of six. He expects and anxiously awaits the magic of the season. He does not qualify under the guidelines of most programs.

Giant Steps

Volunteers are needed weekly at Foothill Elementary School (921 N. 1240 E, Orem) to provide activities for children ages 18 months to 12 years old with autism while their parents attend educational classes. 6-8 volunteers are needed each time. You can play board games, make crafts, or bring any other activity that you think the children might enjoy. A full-time staff member from Giant Steps will be in the room with you. Plan on four children per volunteer.

The Community Food Co-op of Utah

Feed those in need! Volunteers work in assembly line fashion filling boxes with 4 different packages of frozen meat. We need people to pass boxes down the line, fill boxes, tape boxes shut and place the boxes on pallets. We also need people to break down the meat boxes, flatten them and place into dumpsters. This is a great family activity!
