The Studio 5 theme this month is “let it go”.
And, after watching the story about the Beecher and Vainuku families, you’ll probably let petty grievances go more easily.
In 2008, the Beecher’s mother, Yvonne Atwood, was killed in a violent car crash. Police say she was hit by a vehicle that ran a red light. The driver of that vehicle, Siale Vainuku, was arrested after police found marijuana in his system.
While the Beechers initially felt anger toward Vainuku, the hardness in their hearts began to melt as they began to learn more about Siale and his family.
As they learned to let go, they learned to forgive and to love. Their story is inspiring.
