You can be a light-filled woman!
Be the kind of woman that radiates light.
Studio 5 Contributor Shima Baughman believes that starts from within. She described the light-filled woman – the woman who feels light, lives light, and spreads light wherever she goes.
Vulnerability: The Power of Openness
A light-filled woman is vulnerable. Shima highlighted Brooke Romney as an example, noting, “When one person is vulnerable, they allow others’ light to shine.” Brooke’s openness about her inner thoughts and experiences makes others feel validated and understood. Shima emphasized that vulnerability is not about being a victim but about sharing one’s true self with confidence.
Lighting the Way for Her Inner Circle
A light-filled woman illuminates the path for those closest to her. Shima shared a personal story about her best friend, Heather, who has a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and heard. “She just offers this listening ear,” Shima said, highlighting Heather’s sincerity and inclusivity.
Embracing Imperfection
Perfection is not a requirement for a light-filled woman. Shima mentioned Kristen Andrus, who believes that “60 percent is good enough.” Kristen’s willingness to embrace imperfection and still take action inspires others to do the same. Shima admires how Kristen’s imperfect efforts still lead to significant positive impacts.
Willingness to Try
A light-filled woman is not afraid to take on challenges. Shima talked about Emily McCormick, who addresses community issues head-on. Emily’s work with the Policy Project, which includes initiatives like providing menstrual products in schools, showcases her determination to make a difference. “She was willing to try and not afraid,” Shima noted.
Bearing Others’ Burdens
Finally, a light-filled woman supports those around her in times of need. Shima described a close friend who is always there to listen and offer support, no matter the time. “She was always there for me, always has been,” Shima said, underscoring the importance of being a reliable and compassionate friend.
The light-filled woman is a beacon of positivity, vulnerability, and support. By embracing these qualities, we can all strive to spread light in our own lives and the lives of those around us. As Shima beautifully put it, “Light brings light.”
