There’s a notion that a special bond exists between mother and son. You can definitely see that between Kay Malone and her boy, Karl Jr. – or KJ. We know and love Kay. She’s the wife of longtime Jazz player Karl Malone. They raised their family in Utah over the 18 seasons he played here. What you might not know is that earlier this year, Kay was in a fight for her life.
We sat down with Kay and her son KJ to talk about how they’ve formed what they now call a sincere friendship. And, how that health scare confirmed what they both already knew: that family is everything.
