There are four main reasons, women fear investing:

1. Education

Growing up, women are simply not socialized as investors. According to Oppenheimer, 76% of women wish they had learned more about investing while growing up.

2. Experience

Most women don’t take the investing helm when married.

3. Fear

Women fear “losing it all.” Even women with incomes exceeding $100,000 cite this fear.

4. Adviser Disconnect

Most financial advisers are men and they’re geared to talk to men (i.e. jargon).

If you would like to gain more education, conquer you financial fears and connect with female advisers, register for the Smart Women, Smart Money conference. This free educational event, will help women gain knowledge and experience about investing.
