Mulled Cider Spritzers

A cool twist on a hot drink!
Caramel Apple Mulled Cider Spitzers
4 c. apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks, crushed*
2 pieces fresh orange peel slices, diced
2 dried apple slices, diced
1 t. whole berry allspice
1/4 t. whole cloves

Caramel Barista Syrup
Club Soda
Crushed ice
Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish


Place crushed cinnamon, orange peel, apple, allspice and cloves in a muslin tea bag, large tea ball, or cheese cloth.

In a medium saucepan, heat apple cider and spices to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

To serve, place crushed ice into glasses. Add a splash of club soda and a small amount of caramel syrup. Pour cooled cider over the top. Lightly stir and garnish with fresh apple slices and a cinnamon stick.

Spicy Tart Cherry Mulled Cider Spritzer
2 c, apple cider
2 c. tart cherry juice
2 cinnamon sticks, crushed
2 pieces of fresh orange peel slices, diced
1 T dried cherries
1 t. whole berry allspice
1/2 t. black pepper, coarsely ground
1/4 t. whole cloves

Vanilla barista syrup
Club soda
Crushed ice
Wide orange zest and cinnamon sticks for garnish

Place crushed cinnamon, cherries, allspice, pepper, and cloves into a muslin tea bag, large mesh tea ball, or cheesecloth.

In a medium saucepan, heat apple cider, cherry juice, and spices to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

To serve, place crushed ice into glasses. Add a splash of club soda and a small amount of vanilla syrup. Pour cooled cider over the top. Lightly stir and garnish with orange zest and a cinnamon stick.

Cran, Blue, Blackberry and Ginger Mulled Cider Spritzer

2 c. Cran, Blue, Blackberry juice
2 cinnamon sticks, crushed
2 slices fresh orange peel pieces, diced
1 t. whole berry Allspice
1/4 t. whole cloves
1/4 t. crystalized ginger pieces
1/4 t. dried lemon peel

Ginger Ale
Crushed ice
Wide lemon zest and cinnamon sticks for garnish

In a medium saucepan, heat apple cider, berry juice and spices to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

To serve, place crushed ice into glasses. Add a splash of ginger ale. Pour cooled cider over the top. Lightly stir and garnish with fresh lemon peel and a cinnamon stick.
